Setting X-Forwarded-For header for Edgecast

In order for Yavli Resilience to work properly, we need to know the true visitor’s IP address. When using a CDN, this is kept in the X-Forwarded-For header.

 

To enable X-Forwarded-For header on Edgecast, please go to your dashboard and in the HTTP Small menu, click on Rules Engine.

 

Click on Add New and fill in the rule name, for example XFF Rule.

 

Choose “IF” and “Always” and then click on the Features + button.

 

Choose “Set Client IP Custom Header” from the dropdown, then “Enabled” and fill in “X-Forwarded-For” in the Header text field.

 

Click the Add button to save the rule. Note it might take a few hours before the rule becomes active.
